Short Artist Bio:

Cindy Holst is a nationally certified Metal Clay Artisan.  She is certified with PMCC at Level 3 and Art Clay World at Senior level.  Cindy creates one of a kind art to wear and teaches metal clay classes on the western slope of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado.

Cindy's life long talent for creative expression through both 2 and 3 dimensional media, combined with an intense interest in world cultures, bear great influence on her wearable art.  Cindy's work is in private collections world-wide.

Artist Statement:

My wearable art jewelry in fine silver and semi precious stones reflects my fascination with the world's diverse cultures as expressed by women through their personal adornment.

I enjoy creating modern artifacts by combining ancient and modern symbols for the purpose of adornment.  I am fascinated by the combination of organic form, ethnic symbols, and modern urban designs.   Jewelry allows me to use the body as a canvas .                                                                   Most of my pieces are designed to be reversible to enhance the wearer's adornment options.
