Cindy Holst has been an active jewelry artisan for over 15 years with special focus in fine silver (99.9) since 1991.  She enjoys travel through out the western United States as well as internationally to Japan, France, Mexico and Canada.  Concepts for jewelry are found in the landscapes and traditions of the countries and peoples she visits.  Cindy's Art To Wear Jewelry covers a range of themes from horses (YeeHaw collection), ancient Native American Rock Art designs (Ancient Echoes collection), to Japanese traditional designs (Hanae collection) and figurative sculpture.  Collectors describe her pieces as refined yet vibrant and full of life.

Cindy grew up on the western shore of the Mississippi River in eastern Iowa, surrounded by lush greens of the forests and cornfields in an area that Mark Twain noted "has the most beautiful sunsets in the entire world".  She has always had an interest in art and culture.  This interest led her to travel the world studying life and nature and the diverse ways they are expressed in body adornment of various cultures.

Cindy's undergraduate degree is in nursing science.  Through out the 1970s and 1980s she displayed her 2 dimensional art work in shows in the Midwest while raising a family of 2 boys, working as a nurse and directing citizen diplomacy efforts in Iowa between Japan, Argentina, Uruguay, Russia and Poland.

Upon moving to western Colorado in 1998, Cindy became inspired to turn her attention to her love of horses and rock art.  She developed Cindy Colorado Studio in Grand Junction, CO where she creates fine silver, 24K gold and gemstone jewelry and teaches Metal Clay classes.  Her work is owned by private collectors in Japan, Russia, England, Bulgaria, France, Germany and the United States.
